[lead]The Queens Arms has been a treasure and an asset for Littondale residents and their visitors for centuries. Sadly, in recent years, it lost its way but we are delighted to announce that The Queens is now back, under new local ownership and local management.[/lead]
We want this pub to once again, be a hub for the village, the dale, and all who love this beautiful place.
Since completing the purchase in mid May, we have literally peeled back the layers to let The Queens live and breathe again. Our programme of refurbishment and investment in this lovely old Inn is ongoing however we are most definitely open for business and our door is open for food, drinks and accommodation. We have just completed the refurbishment of the second bar area which has become the ‘Littondale Bar’ – this is a great place to cozy up by the wood burning stove with a coffee or a malt and the paper, or enjoy afternoon tea or an evening meal. The ‘Littondale Bar’ is also available to book for private dining and meetings.
We have received tremendous local support since we re-opened The Queens and are proud that, like our food, we ‘locally source’ all our staff coming from the Dales, including Head Chef Dan Coverdale. We are fortunate to be located in the heart of what many consider to be the ‘prettiest’ of the Yorkshire Dales with wildflower meadows, stone walls and barns, woodland, caves, moorland and the River Skirfare meandering by.
The essence of the Queens is Yorkshire Dales hospitality, excellent food and real ale – our log fires in the winter and garden in the summer provide a meeting place and a refuge for locals and visitors.
The team at The Queen’s looks forward to welcoming you to Littondale.
