With one of the most varied landscapes in the UK, you can find everything in the Yorkshire Dales, from high peaks to rolling valleys.
Our part of the Yorkshire Dales offers some of the best walking available. With the 3 Peaks of Penyghent, Ingleborough and Whernside within easy reach you can tackle one a day or try the gruelling challenge of all 3 in 24 hours – not for the faint hearted! There are also plenty of smaller peaks with more undulating landscape and the Dales of Littondale, Wharfedale, Malhamdale and Ribblesdale all have lovely riverside walks, mainly on the flat.
The Dalesway long distance path runs from Ilkley to Bowness in the Lake District along the northern Dales and passes through the next Dale along with the Pennine Way.
The Queens Arms offers a drying room for clothes and boots and we are very happy to prepare a packed lunch for you if you are heading off walking for the day.
A varied selection of circular and linear walks around the Yorkshire Dales can be found on the National Park website here.
